The Human Happiness Project

Overview:

JOYD Foundation is an Australian charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), focused on suicide prevention through education, awareness, physical movement, and community connection.

The Human Happiness Project supports suicide prevention by identifying and synthesising existing, credible research on the factors that contribute to human happiness, wellbeing, and resilience.

In collaboration with academic institutions and researchers, the Foundation supports systematic reviews of published literature to identify evidence-informed pillars of human happiness that may reduce the risk of suicide and self-harm.

Findings from systematic reviews are translated into accessible, non-clinical educational resources that inform JOYD Foundation’s harm-prevention initiatives, including community programs and public awareness campaigns.
